Mosque Management Platform
Designed and developed a complete platform for mosque event management, with features for Itikaf seat allocation, ID generation, and visitor scheduling during Ramazan.
Every year during Ramazan, hundreds of people register for Itikaf at the mosque — but managing these applicants was a nightmare. Admins used Google Forms, Excel sheets, and manual ID printing. There was no centralized system for: • Seat allocations • Verifying identity • Scheduling visits to meet the Sheikh • Generating printed materials like ID cards or invitation slips
I built Tariqat — a focused web application for Ramazan Itikaf management. Key features included: • Online registration portal for Itikaf • Admin dashboard for seat approvals and allocations • ID card and badge generation with printable formats • Invitation scheduling for visitors to meet the Sheikh • Secure database with export and reporting tools
Consulted directly with mosque organizers to understand real-world workflows — especially around crowd control, verification, and respectful interaction with religious events.
Built secure APIs for user registration, admin approval flows, seat management, and visit scheduling. Handled edge cases like duplicate entries and printing batches.
Built the entire frontend in React + Redux, including responsive admin tools and printable formats for IDs and passes.
Deployed the app on AWS for reliable uptime during Ramazan. Implemented backups and role-based access to maintain security.

**Community-focused tools need empathy.** The features had to match religious and cultural expectations — including respecting privacy, avoiding spammy designs, and being easy enough for non-tech admins. **Print workflows matter.** Building auto-generated PDFs with proper formatting was harder than expected — but critical for field operations.
